LATE NEWS BREAKING... THIS JUST IN...
On Saturday, March 18, 2006, Jeff Slate of the MINDLESS THINKERS entered the studio to begin the process of reviewing what might be included on a 25th Anniversary CD reissue of "anyone for anything". As most of the tapes had not been played in over 20 years, the process is quite involved. Several tapes were sent to a studio in Colorado to be baked and transfered to a digital format. Others were in fine condition and were transfered immediately, though there was some loss of information (including one lead vocal that the band hopes to recover from alternate sources).
Jeff and Scott Sherratt have been in contact about the project and plan to meet to discuss things further in the coming weeks.
Although all of the known live recordings of the band were stolen in the early 1990's, a recording of their final performance from August 1985 was found and will likely be included on the proposed CD release.
There are also several unreleased finished songs and complete demo recordings, as well as the 24-track recordings the band did at Trod Nossel Studios in Connecticut in the fall of 1985 for the "Towers Of New London Volume 1" LP, that the band intends to include.
Stay tuned for updates on the project...
