The Badge's founder Jeff Slate recently returned from a whirlwind tour of the UK, having performed in Oxford and London, appeared on the BBC and at two Liverpool events marking the 10th anniversary of George Harrison's passing.
Jeff performed stripped down sets of new solo material, classics from The Badge's catalogue and a few covers. But the highlights were a solo-acoustic set of several numbers from George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass", three Beatles-era Harrison numbers with Liverpool's Mersey Beatles and Bob Dylan's "If Not For You" with the New Rebels at St. George's Hall on the afternoon of November 29th, with encore performances with the Mersey Beatles and the New Rebels that evening at Liverpool's legendary Cavern Club.

The EP includes stripped-down acoustic versions of the Harrison classics "If Not For You", "Any Road" and "This Is Love" as well as a full-band studio recording of "I Don't Want To Do It." The latter track was recorded by Slate, The Badge's former drummer Alex Alexander (who appears on the new single "Dreamtime" as well as Jeff's forthcoming solo album), bassist Marc Grunenfelder, and guitarist John Ellis (who made a guest appearance on the band's 2003 release "Calling Generation Mojo") during demo sessions for the band's second album.
